Soccer Game- Feb. 28, 2012

Emma's 2nd soccer game (last night) almost got rained out!  It was "misting" the entire time and just before we were about to call it quits, the rain came!  We were happy to get it in though, because we already have 1 game to make up on a Saturday.  Our team "won," but the poor pink team only had 3 girls there, so they had to play the entire time!  Here are some pictures from the game! (Mommy was prepared this time!)

"Groupies!?"

Can you classify me and Nick as "groupies" if we've been to see Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean in concert twice in the last 2 years?  Probably not, but we had a great time seeing them AGAIN Saturday night!  Our Valentine's date was to go to the concert!

They set up a little stage at the back of the coliseum, and both Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan came and sang a few songs together on it!!  They were right in front of us!

We had so much fun!  (And will probably go back if they come back next year!;)

Soccer in the Spring!

Soccer is back!  Emma's team has had 3 practices and 1 game so far (one of the games got rained out).  We played the Bumblebee team first...the ONLY team that beat us last Fall, and they put a hurting on us again!  But, Emma was just happy to be out there playing!  She told LoLo before the game that she "just LOVES soccer!!"  Mom asked her what she liked best about it, and she replied "Because I get to take a rest and cheer for my team and play ring-around-the-rosies on the side!"  HAHA!!  So maybe we need to check into cheerleading!  I forgot to take my camera, but here are a few action shots from my phone!

Madi is 7 Months!

My sweet baby Madi is already 7 months!  I can not believe how fast this year is flying by!  I have already started planning her 1 year old birthday party!  I've said it before, but Madi truly is the SWEETEST baby!  She is such a joy!  She smiles and shows her cute little dimples all the time!  Madi weighs 19 lbs and 3 oz and is growing taller everyday (it seems like!).  Poor baby...she's outgrown all of her cold-weather outfits!  All she has to wear are some sweet jammies!  I was going through her clothes the other day, and felt so bad that she didn't have anything to wear, but she has a TON of spring/ summer stuff ready to wear!  So come on spring!!!!  This month Madi has mastered sitting up and now is on to crawling...or really sort of "army crawling!"  She will get up on all fours, but usually "frog-legs" and then pulls herself with her arms.  We've also introduced a cup!  She likes holding the handles MUCH more than a bottle!  Madi loves sweet potatoes and pears (yes, mixed!).  Madi's favorite song is "Itsy Bitsy Spider".

My Little Valentines!

We have been preparing for Valentine's Day for several weeks now...Emma LOVES any kind of project, so she was really excited to make valentines for BOTH of her classes!  So she and I have been cutting out hearts, coloring, stickering...you name it!  We also made heart shape rice krispie treats and decorated them with icing!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Emma's Preschool Valentine's Party was Tuesday (actually on V-Day!).  I took off so I could attend!

Valentine's Day is also Mary-Evelyn's birthday!  So the class sang "Happy Birthday" to her and enjoyed some delicious cupcakes that Miranda sent!

After their snacks, all the kids sat in a line with their Valentine's bags they had decorated, and each one took turns handing out their Valentines to their friends!
