My Sweet Valentines!

Valentine's Day was super fun and super busy!  The girls woke up and immediately Emma wanted to open her little happy!

Madi is still not really in to presents, but big sis loves to help!

Emma got a "Little Mermaid" card and Madi's was "Minneeeeeee" (as she says!)

Both girls also got cute swim suit cover ups!  (We are headed to the beach for a work trip next week, so I thought they'd come in handy!)

After presents, we got ready to head to school for fun Valentine's Day parties!!

I wanted a cute picture in their cute outfits, but Madi was not quite in the mood!

LoLo came to help!

We brought delicious icing cookies for Madi's class to enjoy!

Madi loves "Cookieeeesss"

Emma's class exchanged Valentine's and her sweet teacher Ms Mona made homeade heart shaped waffles in their room! They topped them off with whip cream and strawberries! YUM!

Emma showing off her Valentine box!  (These were so cute!  Made from cereal boxes!)

Thomas and Emma have really enjoyed being in the same class this year!

Madi thought she was big, since she got to join the big kids' party!

Emma, Madi, Mary Collins, and Thomas!

Addie Moss and Emma!

See how big?!

Madi LOVES Mary Collins!  She has to "hold" her every time she sees her!

With Ms Mona!

Ms Mona always has fun activities for the kids to do at the party!

They had to graph their sweetarts to see which color had the most!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Carousel Fun!

BEST part of my job?  I get a lunch break and occasionally get to have a fun luch break with these two!!

Madi vs RSV

We had our first battle with RSV...poor Madi had 102 degree fever for 3 days and started breathing very heavily.  She tested negative for strep and flu, but positive for RSV.  We started breathing treatments immediately and, along with the oral steroid, she greatly improved in 24 hours!  I was scared to death! We've never had to do breathing treatments before (Emma nor Madi) and it was not much fun.  Madi has never been that sick and lifeless.  On Sunday, the doctor said that if she didn't improve a LOT, she'd be in the hospital  by Tuesday.  So thankful she got much better very quickly!  Thank you God for watching over our sweet baby!

She did NOT like the fishy mask at first, but by day 3, at least she wasn't screaming the whole time!

Emma-Cheer Competition January 26

Emma started competitive cheer leading this year!!  She absolutely LOVES it!  She has really improved drastically this year too!  Her forward rolls and cartwheels have gotten so much better!  I am so proud of her!  She is the second to youngest on her team, but her coach says she is a natural!  She does so good at paying attention to her coaches and staying on count!  We've been practicing since August, and January 26th was their first competition in Jackson, MS!!  Emma had a BLAST and did a GREAT job!  The minis on the Dallas Cheer Academy team (DCA Stars!) placed 4th out of 8!  They hit all of their stunts and even did great on their pyramid!  Emma loved getting all dressed up and all the glamour and excitement that came with the competition day!

Happy Birthday to Me & Happy New Year!

I'm a little late on this, but I just sat down long enough to upload these pictures!  It has been absolutely CRAZY at work, so I have fallen behind on my blogging :(  But anyways, New Year's was pretty low key, but we did manage to ring in 2013 with our buddies Miranda, Jason, Brittney, Corey, and all the kiddos!
This is most definitely NOT a great picture of me, but it does illustrate my New Year's resolution...to loose 15 pounds!  And I am very excited to say that I have already lost 7!  I've joined Premier Lady and going to ZUMBA and a few other cardio/boot camp classes and still trying to run!
Emma and her best boy buddy, Preston!
Just before a sweet hug at midnight!

Preston was holding a Roman candle, so of course...

Emma had to also!

I'm much more comfortable with them shooting sparklers, instead!

New Year's Eve is also my birthday!!  I actually took off the 31st (Monday) and we were closed on Tuesday, so LoLo took me and Emma to get pedicures and manicures!  So what I needed!

After our mani/pedis, we had lunch at Harvey's and topped it off with GiGi's Cupcakes!!

Wow...32...that just doesn't seem right!

Emma's Booster Shots :(

Emma is officially ready to start Kindergarten! Makes me so sad!!  I can not believe she is 5 years old and will be starting big school this fall!  We went ahead and had her check up to get all of her shots, and it was NOT fun!  Poor baby got her finger stuck and 3 shots!  She weighed in at 42.50 pounds and is 44.2 inches tall!

Emma's eye check up went great too!
