Extreme Cheer Exhibition!

Emma started cheering with Extreme Cheer in Saltillo about a month ago and has really done very well! We went to Memphis this past Saturday to participate in a little exhibition before our first "real" competition in Southaven on Nov 2. Emma did a GREAT job! The team as a whole, though, has a little work to do! Bless them! Several of the girls cried the whole time and several didn't really know where they were supposed to stand! They definitely scored BIG in the cuteness department though!!!

Little sis cheering on big sis!!

Wish us luck next week!! ;)

Pics with Santa!

I know I was just blogging about pumpkins and it's not even Halloween yet, but LoLo and I went to the Celebration Village this morning and that always puts me in the Christmas spirit!! I dressed the girls in (one of) their Christmas outfits in hopes to get a picture with Santa, and they BOTH sat in his lap and smiled for the camera!!! Score! I was very surprised that Madi actually got that close to Santa and even told him she wanted "Tinkerbell!"  Emma told him she wanted an electric scooter!

Emma's Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Emma's first Kindergarten class field trip was to Holley Farm Pumpkin Patch! It was so much fun and the kids had a BLAST!!  We had never been to the Fulton pumpkin patch (only tried Blue Mountain) but it was so great! We will definitely be going back there!  It was also very educational! They had lots of different stations set up with different activities to keep the kids busy and entertained!
Emma's cute Kindergarten class with her 3 awesome teachers!!

Story time! This lady was a hoot!!
So happy I got to go!! ;)

Virginia Beach!

We took on a new facility in Norfolk, Virginia a few weeks ago and since I "needed" to make a follow-up visit and it was Emma's fall break at school, LoLo and the girls came to Virginia Beach with me this week! It was actually a little cooler than a month ago and extremely windy, but we snuck in a few hours at the beach!! Emma is still my little beach babe and actually asked if we could just move here! Madi likes the beach MUCH more than she used to also!! Yay!
On the plane! This was Emma and Madi's third plane trip! They love to fly!
Of course we packed plenty of entertainment!
My sweet girls on the beach!
The waves were HUGE! We couldn't get in much deeper than our ankles because of the strong current and big waves! It was also very foamy!
Emma thought it was perfect weather to fly a kite!

I had big plans of getting a cute beach picture, but the wind did not cooperate!
Love Madi's "sweet" pose!
Miss Priss xs two!

Since it was too chilly to go to the beach the second day, we rented a buggy bike and did a little site seeing! Virginia Beach is so neat because everybody walks, jogs, and rides bikes on the boardwalk all the time!

I had told Emma that the whole town had lots of references to mermaids (her fave!) but since they didn't go into Norfolk much, I had to take a few pics of them yo show her mom wasn't crazy! ;)

Earrings!

Emma has been begging to get her ears pierced! I was kind of putting her off -not because I didn't want her to have them, but because I don't have holes in my ears! Let me clarify...I don't have holes in my ears ANYMORE! I have had my ears pierced twice with the gun and twice with the old fashion needle thru your ear then into the bar of soap! I'm apparently very allergic to any kind of jewelry and didn't want my ear to fall off, so I've had to let them grow up. I just didn't want to have to deal with any infected ears on Emma and knew if they didn't turn out how she planned, she'd be very upset and hate them! But (as you can see) I finally gave in and let her do them a week ago. I had told her for her 6th birthday (which is only 2 months away btw!) but decided to go ahead and do it now so they'd be well by her birthday and Christmas!  Her ears have done PERFECTLY and she didn't even flinch when she had them done!
And I must admit, they look very pretty on her ...and very grown up, which makes me a little sad too! She planned it just in time for Kindergarten picture day!
