Back to a School!

Madi started 3 yr old Pre-K yesterday (August 6, 2014)!  I had reserved her spot for M/W/F, but after finding out Emma's cheer practice schedule and Madi's gymnastics schedule (she starts at Flip Flops in two weeks!) I tried to change her to T/Th.  Unfortunately, that class was already full, so we actually decided on W/F this year! Madi has been saying for the last month that she wasn't going back to school...that she'd just stay with LoLo!  Thankfully, after open house (which I missed from being in NC/VA :() and meeting her new teachers and seeing her new class with some new and old friends, she decided she wouldn't be a drop out...at least not yet!  I was a little nervous at how she would do since she hadn't been looking forward to school starting back up, but she didn't even notice that I left... Didn't even tell me bye!  No really, I'm VERY glad she didn't get upset and make me leave her crying (like last year). I know she will have a great time "playing with the kids!"
Look how big she's gotten this year! She's not a baby anymore! :(
Big Sissy had to pretend to go to school, even though she actually went to LoLo's all by herself since Saltillo didn't start until Thursday!

Emma, on the other hand, couldn't wait to start back school!!! She enjoyed a little break of sleeping in and eating breakfast at LoLo's every morning, but she absolutely LOVES school!! We got to meet her teacher on Tuesday!  I think she is going to have an AWESOME year as one of Mrs. Amy smith's dragonflies!!

Today was her FIRST day of FIRST grade!! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!  I know I've said it before, but I sure wish I had a pause button!!!
Ready for first grade, but is first grade ready for her??! ;)
We saw her cheer buddy Kyleigh in the hall!
She and Gabbi are in the same class again this year!
And I can not tell you how excited she is that Addie Moss is in her class this year!! Addie and Emma were in the same 3 yr and 4 yr Pre-K classes at FBC and are such sweet friends!! They play together so well and picked right up where they left off a year ago!!  Bella (our cousin) is also in Emma's class!! I was not nearly as emotional or upset because she knew three girls in her class starting out!  And apparently Emma wasn't too nervous either...she actually told me she could handle walking in herself if I needed her to. What??! Of course momma HAS to walk you in the first day!! And maybe the second!! Ha! After I took a few pics and she got settled in to her desk (which btw was her favorite part of first grade so far...that they have desks instead of tables..."with lots of storage!) she actually said " ok you can go now mom!"  I quickly explained that I was waiting for Addie to get there so I could get a picture of them!  So sad that BOTH my babies are growing up too fast!!

We ended this fabulously fun yet somewhat emotional day by celebrating Anna Claire's 29th birthday at Mt Fugi!!  Today was also Thomas's first day of Kindergarten!! He said his favorite part of today was going to both playgrounds and getting to pick out anything he wanted at lunch on his tray!!

Here's to hoping for a great school year!!!

August Fury

August is here and started ridiculously busy!!  Our parent company Vanguard lost the contracts on the 12 buildings that we spent all last year bringing on, so Carmen, Katie, and I had to travel to NC and VA to remove our Med Select inventory on July 31-Aug 3. It was a CRAZY long trip filled with driving a big black "drug wagon" across the state of North Carolina to Virginia beach!! Even though we had 18 hour days on very little sleep, we tried to make it as fun as possible!
Parking was not my strongest point!
Katie barely had enough room to ride!
Did I mentioned it POURED the ENTIRE time we were gone???
This was just from two of the five facilities!

Poor Katie had to fly out to Ohio to meet Jimmy to unload those machines from the three Ohio buildings...and Friday was her birthday...bless her!!

#madilynleeturnsthree!

I can't believe my baby turned THREE the other day!!! Madi is getting to be such a big girl! You know how it seems they go from looking like a baby to looking like a big kid in what seems like overnight?  Well that's what happened to Madi sometime over the last year! :(. We kid Madi all the time by calling her our "wild child," and she is to a certain extent, but is also so full of joy and fun!! Her smile literally lights up her face and the room with her big beautiful dimples! She is ALWAYS singing!! PaPa says "she has a song in her heart and it just has to get out!" She is fully potty trained (including at night and number 2!), says EVERYTHING (and non-stop it seems!), knows her ABCD's (as she calls it!), and (the last I heard) can count to 30! Madi definitely has a mind of her own and you are not going to get her to do anything that is not HER idea (hence she might can count higher than 30, but she wouldn't let on that she can)!  She is full of imagination and will sit alone with her princesses (little figurines mom found set the Disney outlet) for hours and just play! She also likes to line them all up and gets very upset if you mess them up! (Wonder who she gets that from? ;). Madi is obsessed with all things "Frozen" so of course we had to have a "Frozen" themed birthday party!  We decided to have hers at the mall (just like Emma at 3!) and it turned out fantastic! I think we had a total of 18 kids plus some parents and grands that joined us to make her day extra special!!

Right before her party started, Madi said "it's perfect!" ever so quietly while looking at her table!! Melted this momma's heart!!
These cookies were AMAZING!!
The party favors were Olaf cookie pieces and bubbles!
Photo props for Instagram fun!
Carmen perfected these AWESOME Olaf cake pops!! They were the hit of the party!!

Happy 3rd birthday Madi Moo!! We love you to the moon and back!!
