Look how big she's gotten this year! She's not a baby anymore! :(
Big Sissy had to pretend to go to school, even though she actually went to LoLo's all by herself since Saltillo didn't start until Thursday!
Emma, on the other hand, couldn't wait to start back school!!! She enjoyed a little break of sleeping in and eating breakfast at LoLo's every morning, but she absolutely LOVES school!! We got to meet her teacher on Tuesday! I think she is going to have an AWESOME year as one of Mrs. Amy smith's dragonflies!!
Today was her FIRST day of FIRST grade!! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast! I know I've said it before, but I sure wish I had a pause button!!!
Ready for first grade, but is first grade ready for her??! ;)
We saw her cheer buddy Kyleigh in the hall!
She and Gabbi are in the same class again this year!
And I can not tell you how excited she is that Addie Moss is in her class this year!! Addie and Emma were in the same 3 yr and 4 yr Pre-K classes at FBC and are such sweet friends!! They play together so well and picked right up where they left off a year ago!! Bella (our cousin) is also in Emma's class!! I was not nearly as emotional or upset because she knew three girls in her class starting out! And apparently Emma wasn't too nervous either...she actually told me she could handle walking in herself if I needed her to. What??! Of course momma HAS to walk you in the first day!! And maybe the second!! Ha! After I took a few pics and she got settled in to her desk (which btw was her favorite part of first grade so far...that they have desks instead of tables..."with lots of storage!) she actually said " ok you can go now mom!" I quickly explained that I was waiting for Addie to get there so I could get a picture of them! So sad that BOTH my babies are growing up too fast!!
We ended this fabulously fun yet somewhat emotional day by celebrating Anna Claire's 29th birthday at Mt Fugi!! Today was also Thomas's first day of Kindergarten!! He said his favorite part of today was going to both playgrounds and getting to pick out anything he wanted at lunch on his tray!!
