Soccer Game #3

Emma's team did great last night at their soccer game!  Emma is still not as aggressive as I wish she would be...when the other girls go for the ball, she tends to back off.  But...she's learning!  Last night she even kicked the ball down the field, but kicked it to the side of the goal, instead of in it!  She said "I almost scored a goal!"  We were all very proud of her!
This is her "official" soccer picture!
(sorry for the quality...this is a picture of the picture!)

Excited to go in the game!

Yay Emma!!

Kicking in the ball

Good kick!

Coach putting her shoe back on!  She kept running out of it!

The girls playing ring-around-the-rosey during half-time!
(As I said before...I think she has more fun on the sidelines!  Maybe she'd be better suited for cheerleading!)

Running out of her shoe again!
When I went out there to tighten her shoelaces she started crying!  I felt so bad, but she really needed them to be tighter!

In her "ready" position!

Emma is loving soccer so far, and we are loving watching her play!!

Happy 3 Months to Madi!

Today is Madi's 3-Month birthday!!  We are so happy to have our little Madi-Moo complete our family!!  Madi is such a great baby!  She is very content and always smiling!!  The ONLY time she cries is if she spits up or you are late getting her "ba-ba" ready!  She loves eating and is now taking 4-6 ounces (we alternate 4 oz, then 6oz) every 3 hours (or 2 and 1/2 if she can't wait that long) during the day.  She has been sleeping all night for several weeks now!  She usually gets her last bottle at 7:45 and sleeps until 5:00.  If she wakes up earlier, she doesn't cry and I just pat her booty and she goes back to sleep until I'm ready for her to get up!  And yes...she's in the bed with us too!  So it's Madi, me, Emma, then Nick all in the bed!  At least we have a king! (but it's still not big enough!)  We have told Emma that when she turns 4 (in December) she and Madi are going to their room...we'll see how that goes!
Madi loves to be talked to and walked around the house.  She wants to be where the action is!  Especially if she hears Emma!  She will about break her neck trying to turn it to find big sister!  She likes a paci, but can do without it.  She usually prefers her fist...which she can stick the whole thing in her mouth!  I think she's starting to teeth, b/c she is soaking wet from drool all the time.  Her "sign" for she's hungry is she'll ball up her fist and take it to her mouth several times.  If we get her a bottle then, she's happy!  If we wait too long after she's told us she's hungry she CAN and WILL pitch a fit!  She "talks" to us a lot now and has even mastered the "thhhhhughhhh" thing you do with your tongue.  She is trying really hard to roll over, so I'm sure that's coming this next month.  She tries really hard to pull herself up to a sitting position when you are holding her too!  When she smiles, she smiles all over!!  It is the sweetest thing, but I still haven't caught it perfectly on camera.  Madi's favorite song is "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" and she also likes "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
She is still spitting up way too much...I will definitely have to buy new furniture when and if she ever grows out of it!  It's like the whole bottle comes back up.  Emma calls her stinky, but I remind her that she did the same thing!
Increasing our floor and tummy-time!

Big Sister showing Madi how it works

LOVE those hams!!

She definitely got my big eyes!

Working those arm muscles!

I got out Emma's baby book the other day and I think they look a lot alike!
But, decide for yourself...Here are some 3 month pics of Emma:

My sweet girls are growing up way too fast!

My Little Pumpkins!

We went to the Blue Mountain Pumpkin Patch this past Saturday!  We had so much fun, and of course, I took way too many pictures!  Mom, Emma, Madi, and me met Cindy, Jeremy, Vance, Aunt Charlotte, Pam, and Hannah for a morning full of fun!  Emma was the most excited about riding the horse again and getting a pumpkin so we could decorate our house!
My sweet little pumpkins!!
The tall one is actually LoLo's and the fat orange one is Emma's, and Emma picked out the small green one for Madi!

Madi was happy as she could be in her front-carrier!

Emma wasn't too sure about milking the cow...

She loves horses!!

I was shocked she actually fed the animals...she's usually a little "skiddish" when they get up next to her!  (Much like her mommy!!)

While Vance is kicking the fence, Emma knelt down and flapped her "wings" yelling "bock-bock"!!
Poor chickens were so scared, one actually laid an egg right then and there!

LoLo showing Emma how it's done!

After the hay-maze!

Her favorite thing this year was the pony-rides (again)!
She was just mad that the guy wouldn't let her do it all by herself!

My little cowgirl!

Emma, Hannah, and Vance

Madi was happy as long as she got her bottle on time!

Emma, Hannah, and Vance on the way to the pumpkin patch field

Emma trying to decide which pumpkin she wanted!

She got the biggest one she could carry!

I just wanted 1 good picture of the two of them with their pumpkins...this was as good as it got!

Madi checking out her pumpkin!

It is impossible to get all three looking at the same time!

Emma was very proud of her pumpkin!

Again...impossible!!

I love this picture!!  Hannah is in another world, Emma is prissing (as she does best!), and Vance is covering his face b/c he doesn't want to take anymore pictures!

Madi took a little nap after we got back from the field

Riding the choo-choo train!
Emma was mad b/c Cindy rode with them!  Emma said "We don't need any grown-ups!"

Poor Hannah really wasn't big enough to pedal these things either...especially with 40 extra pounds riding!

Soccer Game #2

I was shocked that Emma's team got to play their game last night!  It had been forcasting rain by 9am, so I was sure they would get rained out.  I was kind of hoping they would because Emma had a little relapse with the sinus crud this past weekend and ran fever Saturday night.  I brought her up to the clinic Sunday afternoon and Manda said her ears were full and her throat was red.  She got a shot in the booty (and she didn't even cry!!! such a big girl!!) and 10 days of Omnicef, so I didn't let her go to practice Monday night because I wanted her to get to feeling better AND just knew they wouldn't be able to play...shows how much I know!  And the Weather Channel!  It didn't rain, but boy did it turn COLD!!!  We were freezing!  That's how I remember playing soccer...seems like it is always 20 degrees colder at the soccer fields than anywhere else!  Well, Mom-of-the-Year here didn't even pack Emma's long sleeves and leggings!  As usual, LoLo saved the day!! She took Emma over to our house and got her dressed (warmly) and took her to the field for their pictures and game.  Emma had all of her grandparents at the game last night...LoLo, PaPa, Papa Tony, Cee Cee, Mammaw Nancy, and Mr. Ronny!  She was so excited that everyone braved the cold temps to come see her play!  Our team didn't do quite as well, or either the other team was just better than last week's team, but Emma had a great time playing!!  (I keep telling myself that that's what's important! ;)

Waiting for her turn to go in...I think she has just as much fun on the sidelines!

Going in the game!

She kicked off this time!

The other team had some really big girls!  Emma looked like the runt!

Playing in the dirt!

Kicking the ball in!  Daddy, Ronny, and Mammaw Nancy in the background.
LoLo parked at the end of the field there so she could keep Madi inside the vehicle and out of the wind!

Go Emma Go!!

Poor girls were freezing!!  None of us expected it to be that cold!!
