Madi's 1st Haircut!

Well...really just a trim!
Madi had gotten a little scragly, so LoLo gave her her first haircut!

See how long?!

"I'm looking pretty now!"

The after pic!
Madi really has a lot of hair!  And maybe this will help it thicken and grow even more!

Our little Cheerleader!

After going to the Saltillo mini cheer camp, Emma got to cheer at the first Saltillo home football game!!  Aubrey's grandmother made the girls the CUTEST cheerleading uniforms!!  Emma thought she was hot stuff!

Emma, Fayth, and Aubrey
These sweet girls are great friends and (hopefully) will all really be Saltillo cheerleaders one day!

Emma did GREAT on her cheers!!  (Of course, I've had her practice them every night this past week! Ha!)

Already has the pose!!

Lanie, Meri-Campbell, Emma, Aubrey, and Fayth
All of these sweet girls will be Saltillo Tigers!!

Smith's Hasbeens!

Several of us got together a lon-overdue Tupelo High School Softball Alumni game!!  We have been talking about doing this for years, and we finally got it all together!  It was so much fun seeing everyone again!  We are DEFINITELY going to make this an annual event!!
We were the "Smith's Hasbeens!"  ...and yes, several of us are definitely HASBEENS!!!

I still got it! ;)

I designed our shirts and our numbers were our number of year we graduated...so of course, I was 22 of '99!  The shirts turned out really cute!

(We won't mention that this is why I couldn't sit on the toilet for 3 days!)

Getting a little wisdom from Coach Smith!!  Everyone that ever played for Coach Smith has such great respect for him!  We all still live by his little quotes..."It's better to have and not need, than to need and not have!"  "Plan the work and then work the plan!"  He was extremely hard on us, but we definitely love him for it!!

"Gable's Gals" killed us!!  It was supposed to be the Old Alumns vs. the Young Alumns, but I'm not so sure all of their team was even out of highschool!...or at least that was our excuse!

I so miss these days!!!  It was fun to remember our glory days for a while!!
Look forward to doing it again next year!!

First Week of Preschool!

Emma AND Madi had a great first week of preschool!!  Both of the girls are going to First Baptist on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year!  Of course, Emma could not wait to start back school again!!  She is such her mother's daughter...she BEGS to do homework all the time!  I used to love getting those little workbooks at Wal-Mart (instead of a toy) when I was little, and Emma is just the same!  She completed like 32 pages in a kindergarten book in like 2 days!

All of her supplies for her first day of 4 year old Preschool!

Madi liked getting her picture taken like Big Sis!
I was very nervous about taking Madi, because she has only ever stayed with me or LoLo!  They usually have to come get us out of church if she is in the nursery, because they can't get her to stop screaming!  I knew she would love playing with the kids, if she'd give it a chance, so I wanted her to go this year too.  (Emma started Mother's Day Out two days a week in February after she turned a year old, so I figured we'd do the same with Madi.)  Well, the big day finally came...she didn't wimper a bit!! (Even though a little boy in her room was pitching a big ole fit!)  I carried her to her room, and she started jumping to get down and play, and she did!  She looked at the little boy, like "What's wrong with you?" then went over and got a toy and tried to share with him!  Sweet girl!  That was Tuesday...Thursday was a little different story!  I guess she remembered that when we got to that room, I left her for a long time.  She started SCREAMING as soon as we walked in! Broke my heart!  But, her teacher pried her off of me and Emma and I went quickly out the door.  We stood outside a few minutes, and then I walked Emma to her room.  By the time I got back to Madi's room, she was fine!  So...we'll see how this next week goes!

Thomas and Emma are in the same class this year!!!

Emma at Cheer Camp!

Emma (and two of her besties!-Fayth and Aubrey) participated in Saltillo High School's Mini Cheer Camp on Saturday!  She had a BLAST!!!  She is begging me to sign her up for cheer classes, so I'm going to try to get her on a tiny-tots squad in Tupelo!  (I must admit...I'm just as excited (or more) than her!)  She loves to perform and get all glitzed up, and she is definitely loud enough to be a cheerleader, so I think this may be right up her alley!
Group pic of all the mini-cheer leaders!

Emma, Aubrey, and Fayth ready to cheer!!

Emma and Fayth
Emma was a little shy at first...that is until Fayth and Aubrey got there!

Emma's group learning their cheer!

I thought she did a really good job!

Emma would have NO PART of "Tillo" the Tiger mascot, but Madi was all about him!!

Of course, we loaded up on pom poms, megaphones, Tiger masks, t-shirts...the works!  They get to cheer at the first home football game this next Friday night!

I'd say this smile says it all!!  She LOVED it!

Happy 1st Birthday Madi!!

Look at this big ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!   Happy birthday Madi!  I can NOT believe it has already been a whole year since Madi joined our family!  She is such a blessing and we love her very, very much!  Madi is a very funny kid!  She is always trying to make other people laugh!  She absolutely ADORES her big sister and she and Emma play pretty well together!  Madi weighs 23.2 lbs (about 75th percentile) and is 30 inches tall (90-95th percentile)!  She is walking (make that RUNNING) everywhere!  She loves to climb and is very proud of herself for being able to get down off the couch all by herself!  She LOVES to eat...especially meat!  She also loves eating all fruits and veggies!  She has her four front teeth and likes to show them off by squealing as high-pitched as she can!  We love our little "Madi-Moo!"

Emma, Bailey and Madi.  Bailey couldn't join us for Madi's birthday party, but she came by early to give her a present!

I decided to have Madi's party at our house (and every time I do, I say I will never again...but you know how that goes!) outside under the carport and patio, so we had it at 6pm on Friday, July 27th.  It turned out SO FUN (and really not even smoltering hot!)  Thanks to everybody that got to come celebrate our baby girl's big day!

My "Pinterest inspired" wrapping paper table cloths!

The cups in the sahpe of the flower pot were the party favors!  I cut all the kids' names out with my new Cricut machine!!

Yes...I got a little Cricut happy!!
We had a ladybug theme, but I wanted to do Aqua and Red instead of Black and Red and I thought it turned out really cute!!

Each table had a different centerpiece!

Family photo before the party got started!

I also made these cupcake toppers!  The cupcakes and smash cake came from Endville Bakery.

LOVED her sweet ladybug smash cake!!

I made a "first year banner" that had all the monthly pictures I had taken of Madi!

Food table centerpiece!

Yummy fruit skewers! (another "Pinterest-inspired"!)

We had the bouncy, trampoline, slide with ball pit, and fun little cars for the activities!

Thomas and Madi jumping!
(See what a great big brother he's going to be soon!!)

Action shots from the PARTY!!

Eating time!

PRESENTS!!!
(Madi was not very into opeing presents, so Mommy and Emma took care of that for her!)

"Happy Birthday to You...Happy Birthday to Madi!!"

Big Sis blew out the candle for Madi!

Madi wasn't really sure about the cake...which kind of surprised me because she TORE UP a GiGi's cupcake earlier in the week (on her actual birthday)!

Sweet girl offered big sis a bite!

We had such a great day celebrating with friends and family!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADI!!!!
WE LOVE YOU!!
